How long does a remodeling project take?

The timeline depends on the project scope, design complexity, permitting, product lead times and existing conditions. A focused bathroom remodel may require far less time than a whole-home renovation or addition. During planning, we develop a project-specific schedule and discuss the factors that could affect it.

When will I know what my project will cost?

You will receive an initial investment discussion during the early evaluation of the project. Pricing becomes more precise as the design, selections and scope are developed. The approved Construction Agreement establishes the final planned investment before construction begins.

Why is there a design and planning phase before construction?

Remodeling involves hundreds of connected decisions. Resolving layouts, materials, trade requirements and key details before construction helps improve pricing accuracy, reduce delays and protect the design intent.

Can we stay in our home during construction?

In many cases, yes. The answer depends on the project location, duration and impact on essential spaces such as kitchens, bathrooms and mechanical systems. We discuss access, dust control, temporary utilities and household routines before construction begins.

Who will manage my project?

A designated project manager coordinates the construction work, schedule, trade partners and communication. The broader design and construction team remains involved as needed throughout the project.

How are changes handled?

Any change to the approved scope is reviewed for its effect on cost and schedule. The change is documented and approved before the additional work proceeds whenever practical.

Do you handle permits?

Momentum coordinates the permits required for the contracted scope of work. Requirements vary by municipality and project type, and they are addressed during planning.
