Meet Our Team

Drew Martin

Co-Owner & Production Manager

Drew’s construction journey began as a motivated teenager working as a general laborer for a large framing contractor. Driven by a strong work ethic and sharp attention to detail, he quickly rose through the ranks to become a crew foreman by age 20—leading teams on major residential developments across Southeast Michigan.

After achieving early success, Drew launched his own company, DMC, Inc., taking on a wide range of residential and commercial projects and honing his skills further. Today, as co-owner and Production Manager of Mo/Co, he’s overseen hundreds of projects with precision and professionalism.

When he’s off the clock, Drew enjoys time with his family and snowmobiling through Northern Michigan’s winter landscapes.

Adam Zylka

Co-Owner & Operations Manager

Adam’s journey in construction began as a teenager, sparking a passion for homebuilding and remodeling that’s driven his career ever since. After graduating from Dexter High School, he earned a degree in Construction Management from Michigan State University—balancing academics with hands-on experience on a rough framing crew to help fund his education.

Following graduation, Adam worked with several Michigan builders, holding roles as crew foreman, site superintendent, and project manager. His time assembling Timber Frame structures throughout the Midwest helped shape a distinctive carpentry skillset and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship.

Now, with over 30 years in the industry, Adam serves as co-owner of Momentum Construction + Design. He leads sales, estimating, and office operations, applying decades of experience to guide projects from vision to reality.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Brad Rowley

Client Concierge

Brad’s journey to the Momentum Team is anything but conventional. After earning his Accounting degree from Michigan State University, he spent several years in the corporate world before craving a change of pace. He and his family relocated to Florida, where Brad pursued his passion for hospitality—flourishing as a waiter thanks to his natural talent for taking care of people.

After five years away from Michigan, Brad returned and brought his rare blend of accounting expertise and customer service to Momentum, adding incredible value for both the team and our clients. Now based in Ann Arbor, Brad continues to spread good energy wherever he goes.

Fun fact: You might catch Brad bartending at Homes Brewery—if you’re lucky.

Emily Bastion

Lead Designer

Emily’s love for interior design started early, inspired by her mom—a talented architectural draftsperson—and hands-on experiences during her parents’ home build in 1997. From pouring over wallpaper books to tagging along on construction site visits, Emily was hooked. She went on to study interior design at Michigan State University’s CIDA-accredited program, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree.

She began her career in downtown Detroit, where she spent a decade in commercial and retail design, honing her skills in spatial planning and fixture design. In 2020, with the shifts brought on by the pandemic and motherhood, Emily returned to her original passion—residential design.

Today, Emily leads Momentum’s design team, bringing creativity, precision, and heart to every project. She lives in Dexter with her husband and two boys and enjoys traveling and running in her spare time.

Shelby McMillan

Designer

Shelby’s passion for home design began early, inspired by growing up around construction and watching her father build his company from the ground up. That hands-on exposure instilled a deep appreciation for the creative and managerial aspects of the industry and sparked a lifelong drive to turn houses into homes.

She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Lawrence Technological University’s CIDA-accredited program, equipping her with both the technical skills and artistic foundation to thrive in the field. Now at Momentum, Shelby collaborates closely with clients and the design team to craft spaces that blend function with beauty—bringing each vision to life with thoughtful, tailored solutions.

Outside the office, Shelby loves spending time with her friends, family, and her boyfriend Nick. Whether she’s enjoying a weekend up north, catching up with neighbors, or simply relaxing with loved ones, she finds joy in the little moments. With excitement for what’s ahead, Shelby looks forward to continuing her growth, both professionally and personally, embracing new opportunities along the way.

Now at Momentum, Dan brings decades of experience and enthusiasm for hands-on projects to the team.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys gardening, campfires, and sipping morning coffee on his front porch.
